New Year, New Music...

They may have been dreams in the past but this year I am vowing to make some changes. I definitely am striving for a work-life balance and am trying to enjoy the little things in life so that I find more happiness. While experiencing one of these little things today by going to get coffee, I heard this great song. It made me think of my sweetheart, so I wanted to share the good vibes.

Song of the week

Sometimes a song just hits you and you are profoundly affected. Earlier this week, that was the song below - Grace Before Sleep by Susan LaBarr. The words and harmonies hit a perfect frequency with me that just resounded. This is one of those songs you put the earphones in, close your eyes, and breathe... enjoy!

Goodnight Moon

I know it's been a while but I had to share this song. One of my favorite books growing up, as I'm sure it's a staple in many other homes, is Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown. One of my favorite choral composers recently put this children's book to music and I couldn't be more excited. Enjoy!

Music moments...

So, I can't help but share my new-found music. It may not be new but it's new to me and I love new music.

So I watched this adorable movie last night - St. Vincent - and the last song was by the great Bob Dylan. Just loved it, loved the movie, had to share. Here's a video of the end of the movie with Bill Murray singing away. Loved it.

The other song I heard while at a few Mariner's games recently. It happens to be the theme song for one of their players. Here's "Night's on Fire" by David Nail for all you country fans.

It's that time of year again...

Back by popular demand (and yes, I'm aware I may be the only one who has waited all year for this), the University of Massachusetts Amherst's Falcon Cam! A tradition was started 13 years ago by the university having a falcon box placed on top of the tallest building in the area, the Du Bois Library. Here's a little history about the 2014 season:

This box has housed multiple nesting falcons and you can be a part of the family by watching their webcam! Riveting as always, I think it's like a great movie, unfolding every day. Happy watching!
